  • What type of roofing materials do you use?

    Depending on the roof, we use asphalt shingles which have a 30 year lifespan. We also use rolled roofing for flat roofs, and metal where it is applicable or requested.

  • How long does replacing a roof typically take?

    1-2 days depending on wood replacement. In most cases only 1 day.

  • How can we get an estimate?

    Call us, and schedule a free inspection.

  • Do we have to be out of the house when you are replacing the roof?

    No, you can be home all day if you'd like, it will be noisy though.

  • Can I remove ice from my roof?

    Only a professional should do this, call us and we can do it for you. There are also newer roofing products which prevent ice from damming,

  • What are ice dams?

    Ice dams are when ice builds up on the roof edges or in the roof valleys.

  • How do you calculate the number of shingles I will need for my roof?

    By the square method, 1 square is 10x10 or 100 sq ft.

  • Why is there discoloring in my roof?

    Environmental issues cause discoloration, heat, cold, shade (mold) etc. Newer products have been designed to combat this problem.

  • What kind of ventilation can I use on my roof?

    There are several types depending on the construction of your house, the rule of thumb is 1 vent per 150 sq ft of floor space.

  • Should I paint my house before the siding takes place?

    Not unless you are incorporating an insulative additive to the paint.

  • Will the siding crack or fade?

    Aluminum siding will fade over time, vinyl siding will crack and fade over time, but newer products can resist this.

  • How often do I need to replace siding?

    When damaged as it allows for water and air leaks.

  • Is a full-siding job the only option?

    Only if you want it to match.

  • What siding material do you recommend using?

    Vinyl, the newer products are awesome and easier to replace.

  • Is there maintenance involved after a siding job?

    Power washing of some type in the shaded areas is a good idea to remove mold.

  • My home was damaged by a storm, what is the turn time to fix this?

    After getting an inspection from a licensed inspector (like us) you may want to involve your insurance company.

  • I got my checked from the insurance adjuster for storm damage, now what?

    Give a licensed professional (like us) a call, we can complete the repair and communicate with the insurance company on your behalf to ensure the work completion.

  • Will you work with my insurance company to help me move forward with my roofing job?
